Steel FAQs
I really need a gate to secure this area. Where is the best place to start?
- Firstly measure and double check your measurements.
- What you need to communicate is the opening that you want the gate to fill and the height of the gate.
- Will the gate be swinging off an existing structure or will you require a hinge and latch post?
- Determine which way the gate will be opening – either toward you or away from you – remembering to clearly communicate exactly where you are standing.
- What design will the gate be?
- Are you requiring a metal frame and are going to use a wood panel or wood pickets? Or are you requiring a metal tubular or mesh infill?
- What finish are you considering? Do you want the gate galvanised or primed?
- Is it locking? If so, what type of lock do you want?
- Will you require a drop bolt, self closing hinges, or any other specific feature?
- As you describe the particular features, write them down clearly. Call Wolters. We can assist you with sourcing speciality type products as well as quoting, supplying and/or fabricating.
